From Charlotte take I-77 South past Rock Hill go app. 13 miles to the Richburg/Chester hwy #9 exit turn right. When you start coming into Chester look for J.A. Cochran by-pass hwy 72. left on 72 bypass go around Chester turn left on hwy 72 heading toward Whitmire go app 10 miles and you will cross the Sandy River Bridge look on right for Woods Ferry Recreation Area Sumter National Forest/Leeds Road on right, turn right 2 miles to stop sign right again 2nd driveway on right look for red mailbox and the Tranquility Base sign.

From Asheville Greenville and Spartanburg: In Spartanburg take Hwy #9 S. toward Pacolet go through the Town of lockart still on Hwy #9. Hwy #9 wiil change from a two lane to a 4 lane Rd. Go app. 4 miles Hwy #9 will turn back into a two lane Rd. Immediatly on your right you will see a Sumter National Forest Sign that says Woods Ferry Recreation Area turn right there on Woods Ferry Rd. You will stay on that road and go past Woods Ferry Recreation area on your right.Go across the Railroad tracks and take a left on Calvary Church Rd. 2nd mail box on your right is the driveway for Tranquility Base.

From I 20 in Columbia take hwy 215 toward lake Montecillo,go past Lake Monticello to the Carlisle/Leeds Community turn right on Hwy 72 toward Chester go app. 2 miles look for signs for Woods Ferry Recreation area Sumter National Forest turn left on leeds road,go 2 miles to stop sign right 2nd driveway on right look for red mailbox and the Tranquility Base sign.
